There are so many fabulous and fun things to do in Leeds city centre, I will update this list as I learn more. The website Visit Leeds also offers so much information that you can have fun in Leeds. I went to the north of England to discover that Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds are quite close together, so you can visit all three cities perfectly in one trip. In this selection, I show some of the best things to do in Yorkshire and share some great ways to save money and visit these places. I've combined 11 great day trips to Leeds with places that You have visited or love a place.

Leeds Bus and Coach Station is also centrally located and offers a wide range of buses, trains, buses and trains to and from the city centre and other parts of Leeds.

Of course, you can visit Leeds on a fast weekend, but how much more fun would it be to visit all the above places? Take a treetop adventure this summer by spending a few days in Leeds, or if you have more time to explore the area, there are a number of great places to visit for day trips to Leeds.

Alternatively, you can visit Leeds Grand Theatre, which is the premiere venue in Leeds and is listed in Euan's Guide as an accessible performance format. How to get there: You can reach Harrogate via Whitby, which can be reached by bus from Leeds, Leeds City Centre or from the city centre.

If you want to visit places outside the city, Leeds City Centre is an ideal base, but many places in Leeds are just a short walk or bus ride from the city centre. You can also get there by train as there is a great train network in and around Leeds. If you visit Leeds, you can take a bus, bus or train from Leeds to Harrogate and back.

How to get there: Easily accessible by car, Yorkshire Sculpture Park is in the heart of the city centre, a short walk from Leeds and Harrogate city centre.

If you like the atmosphere of a live music festival, prepare for your romantic break in Leeds for the annual Leeds Music Festival, one of the biggest music festivals in the world. There are also a number of other festivals in the city throughout the year, including the Leeds Festival of Music and Arts and the Yorkshire Music & Arts Festival in Harrogate. Other festivals this year include the Great Yorkshire Festival and Leeds City Festival, as well as other events in other parts of Yorkshire. If you are in or near all of these, staying in Yorkshire is the easiest option if you can try the nice restaurants on the list right away. Other festivals include the Leeds International Film Festival (LIFF) and Yorkshire Folk Festival.

Watching a film at the beautiful Hyde Park Picture House is one of the fun activities in Leeds in the evening and a great place for a romantic break.

Spending an evening here is fun as it costs only about a quid per person and is one of the best inexpensive activities in Leeds, especially if you are out with the kids. The Leeds City Museum in Millennium Square is the perfect place to spend a rainy day in Yorkshire and even children will enjoy it. As it is only for adults and highly recommended, this is definitely a good thing to do in Leeds and the surrounding area.

Leeds Market, a place I spent a lot of time visiting as a student and also on a recent trip to the city, is very close to the West Yorkshire Playhouse.

I wouldn't normally recommend eating in shopping centres, but Leeds has so much to offer that it can be overwhelming.
